The Space Education Center supports the education activities of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) in the Asian and Pacific regions. The Space Education Office serves as the secretariat of APRSAF Space Education and Awareness Working Group (SEA WG). Within the framework of APRSAF SEA WG, the regional Poster Contest for primary school students and the Water Rocket Event for secondary school students are organized every year, and Space Education Forums and Seminars are convened in developing countries for school teachers and students to learn about various topics relating to space activities.

APRSAF-18 Poster Contest Gallery under the theme "The Next 50 Years in Space"
Since 2005, the Space Education Awareness Working Group has organized a Water Rocket Event each year. This annual regional Event has provided opportunities for young people between 12 and 16 years old not only to learn about basics of rocket science and space activities in general, but also to learn about other countries and their cultures, to build lasting friendships beyond national borders based on teh common interst in space.

The Space Education Awareness Working Group has organized a Poster Contest under a selected theme each year since 2006 during the APRSAF session, for children between 8 and 11 years of age. From among those posters submitted by the participating countries, the participants of the APRSAF session vote to select the best poster, for APRSAF Best Poster Award, and the second and thrid best posters for APRSAF Special Poster Awards.

The Space Education Awareness Working Group convened space education forums and seminars in Vietnam and Indonesia in 2006, Sri Lanka in 2009, Bangladesh in 2011 and Nepal in 2012, as a response to the need for providing opportunities for students and teachers of primary and secondary schools particularly in developing countries. The aim is to enhance their understanding of space science and technology and their applications and to participate in hands-on space education activities.
