The event provides an opportunity to learn craftsmanship and science technology, and to promote international exchanges, through the making of water rockets.

Intended for students of ages 12–16 years, and teachers and educators, a Water Rocket Event presents opportunities for the students to foster friendships and for the teachers to exchange information.

The event emphasizes the importance of international exchanges among participants from the Asia-Pacific region who have the same ambitions, to foster and enhance their ambitions and aspirations.

Schedule Entry in the spring, selection in June and July, training in August, attendance around mid-November to early December
Venue APRSAF host country (Japan in 2019).
