[FY2019]APRSAF-26 Water Rocket Event
Selection results for the Japanese national team

We express our sincere gratitude for a plenty of entries to the APRSAF-26 Water Rocket Event from around the country.
Among them, the following eight teams were selected through the paper screening in June to proceed to the second screening in July, where the teams launched their rockets and made presentations in English at JAXA Sagamihara Campus.

  • Eiko Gakuen A (Eiko Gakuen Junior High School)
  • Thunder 11th (Junior High School of University of Hyogo)
  • Semarukishishikamaru (Koka Gauen Senior High School for Girls)
  • DOLPHINS (Secondary School attached to the Faculty of Education, the University of Tokyo)
  • Krypton (Junior High School Attached to Tochigi Prefectural Yaita East High School)
  • AKEBONO (Junior High School Attached to Yokohama Science Frontier High School)
  • AISS Science Club Team (Hyogo Prefectural Ashiya International Secondary School)
  • Toin Luvan (Wakayama Prefectural Toin Junior High school)

As a result of judgement, the following three teams were selected as the Japanese national teams:

  • Krypton Junior High School Attached to Tochigi Prefectural Yaita East High School
  • AKEBONO Junior High School Attached to Yokohama Science Frontier High School
  • DOLPHINS Secondary School attached to the Faculty of Education, the University of Tokyo

The national teams participate in a two-day training program which consists of lectures and practices on water rocket preparation and launch, in addition to English training.
APRSAF-26 Water Rocket Event is scheduled to be held during November 22 (Fri) - 25 (Mon) at the training facility of National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa) as the main venue. We appreciate your warm support for these team members who represent Japan in the coming International Water Rocket Event, where students from Asia-Pacific countries join and exchange each other.

We express our deep appreciation to all the teams which participated in the event and many others who kindly supported the event and training program.
